Kelly Havig-Lipke, MD, FAAP, IBCLC

Dr. Kelly Lipke grew up in South Florida and earned her undergraduate degree in English from Williams College in Massachusetts. She received her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa and completed her pediatric residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where she served as Chief Resident in Pediatrics. After completing her training, Dr. Lipke served on the teaching faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at MUSC. While there, she also implemented and served as Medical Director of the Reach Out and Read - Charleston program. Dr. Lipke is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). She brings eight years of experience from MUSC, and eleven years of general pediatric practice to Coastal Pediatric Associates which she joined in 2014. Dr. Lipke enjoys all aspects of general pediatric care and has a passion for preventive medicine, breastfeeding, health and wellness, adolescent care, and quality improvement. She serves as the Lead Physician for Walk with a Doc-Charleston chapter. Kelly is married and has four children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking whole food plant based meals, reading, and all things outdoors.
