Franklin Coulter, M.D., FAAFP

Dr. Frank Coulter is a family physician dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients. With decades of experience in family medicine, he has been a trusted provider in the Orangeburg community since 1984.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois after completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Iowa. He then pursued a residency in Family Practice at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Coulter upholds the highest standards of medical care.

Beyond patient care, Dr. Coulter has held key leadership roles, including serving as Medical Director at Calhoun Convalescent Center and Chairman of District X South Carolina Academy of Family Physicians. His contributions to the medical field include extensive research in diabetes management, with multiple published studies on insulin treatments. Additionally, he has participated in numerous drug studies and speaker bureaus for pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Coulter's dedication has earned him several accolades, including the Upjohn Award for Excellence in OB/GYN.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing tennis, fishing, traveling, and boating. A lifelong sports fan, he never misses a chance to watch the Dallas Cowboys on game day.
