Dr. Silera Holguín Balbuena is a dedicated rheumatologist with a strong background in internal medicine and advanced musculoskeletal imaging. She earned her Medical Doctor degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in the Dominican Republic. She then completed her residency training at Morristown Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Rheumatology at University of South Florida. Dr. Holguín Balbuena is also certified in musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound, allowing her to provide comprehensive and specialized care for patients with inflammatory arthritis. She recognizes the complex multisystemic nature of autoimmune diseases and approaches each patient through an integrated, patient-centered perspective focused on improving overall health and quality of life. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, and creating meaningful moments with her family.
