Cristy L. Blackmon, FNP-C

Cristy Blackmon, FNP-C, is a dedicated health care professional with a wealth of experience in nursing and advanced practice. With a background as a skilled Registered Nurse (R.N.), Cristy has seamlessly transitioned into a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) role, where she excels in providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Cristy's educational journey laid a solid foundation for her career. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to this, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Western Governors University in Utah and an Associate Degree in Nursing from York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina. In addition to her academic achievements, Cristy holds several certifications and licenses, including the SC APRN and the SC Company nursing licenses. She is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS). Moreover, she is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). Cristy's clinical experience is extensive and diverse. She currently serves as a Family Nurse Practitioner at MUSC Health Primary Care Lancaster, where she provides high-quality, compassionate care to her patients. Previously, she held positions as a Clinical Charge Nurse at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, SC, and as an R.N. at various health care facilities, including Kershaw County Medical Center, Charlotte Surgery Center in Charlotte, NC, and Regency Hospice in Rock Hill, SC. Cristy is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association.
