Dr. Simone Higgins is a board-certified pediatrician and Clinical Assistant Professor in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics with advanced expertise in the evaluation and management of complex neurodevelopmental and behavioral conditions. She is recognized for her patient-centered approach, clinical precision, and dedication to empowering families through clear, compassionate, and collaborative care.

Dr. Higgins earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. She completed her pediatric residency at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital/Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida and went on to complete fellowship training in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Washington/Seattle Children's Hospital-one of the nation's leading institutions in pediatric developmental care.

Her clinical work focuses on a wide spectrum of developmental concerns, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, FASD, global developmental delays/developmental delays, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, behavioral challenges such as aggression, in addition to anxiety and depression. She also provides care for children with motor delays such as cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders (such as muscular dystrophies and adrenoleukodystrophies), spina bifida, and genetic syndromes including Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, and Kabuki syndrome.

Dr. Higgins is an active member of the **American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)** and the **Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (SDBP)**. Through her academic and clinical roles, she is committed to improving access to developmental services, collaborating with community partners, and mentoring future pediatric providers
