Dr. Or Cohen-Inbar is an internationally recognized neurosurgeon specializing in surgical neuro-oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, and advanced skull base and spine techniques.
Dr. Cohen-Inbar earned his medical degree magna cum laude from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in 2008 and completed his Ph.D. in 2014, focusing on immunotherapy for malignant brain tumors. He completed his neurosurgery residency at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa, Israel, followed by a fellowship in Surgical Neuro-Oncology and Stereotactic Radiosurgery at the University of Virginia. He further expanded his expertise with advanced training in neuro-oncological approaches at Sunnybrook in Toronto, comprehensive endoscopic endonasal skull base surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, and multiple European Association of Neurological Surgeons (EANS) programs in spine, cerebrovascular, and neuro-endoscopy techniques. He has also trained extensively in advanced spinal procedures and MR-guided focused ultrasound.
An accomplished academic, Dr. Cohen-Inbar has authored more than 80 peer-reviewed publications and contributed to 14 medical textbooks. He is the author and editor of "Focused Neuroanatomy for Medical Students" and "Focused Neurosurgery," which serve as key resources for medical education.
Dr. Cohen-Inbar previously served as Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Virginia and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh, before joining MUSC.
At MUSC, Dr. Cohen-Inbar continues to advance the field of neurosurgery through clinical innovation, research, and education, with a focus on improving outcomes for patients with complex brain and spine disorders.
He is married and the proud father of four.
