Maria Rudisill Streck, M.D.

Dr. Maria Streck was born in Syracuse, New York, though quickly moved south as she completed her higher education. She received her BA in Biology from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She then attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine, where she was awarded her M.D. degree and graduated AOA. Dr. Streck then completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She remained in Memphis for her fellowship training in pediatric and adult allergy and immunology, where she trained at both UT Memphis and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She joined MUSC in 2008, after working for two years in Memphis in a private practice allergy and immunology group. Dr. Streck's interests include all aspects of pediatric and adult allergic and immunologic disorders, including asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, food allergy, insect allergy, urticaria and angioedema. She also focuses on patients with primary and acquired immune deficiencies.
