Dr. John T. Epting is a family medicine physician specializing in full spectrum primary care. He earned his Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry from Clemson University and his Doctorate in Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Epting completed residency training in family medicine at Cahaba-UAB Family Medicine Residency in Birmingham, AL, serving as the first Chief Resident of the urban underserved training track where he helped develop the structure of the training program. He has provided full spectrum primary care, including adult primary care, pediatric care, prenatal care, HIV care, hepatitis C care, refugee care, and women's health in medically underserved areas in both Birmingham and Memphis. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, complex chronic disease management, community medicine, population health, and underserved care.
