He was born and raised in Charleston, SC, earned his Medical Degree, and completed his residency at MUSC. He was a physician partner at Southeastern Spine Institute (SSI) for over 20 years. He served as the Medical Director for the SSI Ambulatory Surgery Center until joining the team at MUSC in 2022. Dr. Richardson has an extensive background in diagnosing and treating spine-related pain and conditions. He has expertise in diagnostic evaluation, including MRI interpretation and EMG (nerve) studies when appropriate to determine the best treatment plan to suit the patient's needs.
