Garland Ames, FNP-BC

Garland Ames, a Florence native, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with almost 20 years of experience in patient care. She started her career as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit where she learned valuable critical thinking skills and how to care for some of the most vulnerable patients. Garland earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. She then worked as a nurse practitioner in Columbia, SC, where she provided comprehensive oncology and hematology care to patients for 15 years before joining the MUSC Hollings Cancer Network - Florence High-Risk Breast Program. Garland is excited to be back in Florence where she focuses on women's breast health, the importance of early detection, and personalized risk management providing care to women in the Pee Dee area.
