Annika Tabassum, M.D., MSBME Family Medicine, Primary Care in Mount Pleasant, SC

Dr. Tabassum is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for patients of all ages. Born in Bangladesh and raised in Arkansas, her experiences studying abroad in Sweden and participating in medical mission work in Honduras have shaped her patient-centered and culturally informed approach to medicine.

Known for her empathetic approach and thoroughness, Dr. Tabassum is proactive in helping patients navigate their health and wellness goals. She is passionate about preventive care, mental health, women's health, and chronic disease management. She treats a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, asthma and COPD, depression and anxiety, obesity, arthritis, and acute illnesses. She also provides joint injections and women's health services, including Pap smears.
