Alicia Reams, M.D. Primary Care, Internal Medicine in Indian Land, SC

Dr. Alicia Reams is a board-certified internal medicine physician with more than a decade of experience providing comprehensive primary care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She is dedicated to helping adults achieve their health goals through preventive care, chronic disease management, and personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, healthy aging, diabetes management, hypertension, high cholesterol, and women's health.

Dr. Reams earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina after completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at MUSC and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from Winthrop University. She completed both her residency and internship training at MUSC, building a strong foundation in internal medicine and patient-centered care.

At MUSC Health Primary Care - Bridgemill in Indian Land, Dr. Reams provides preventive care, annual wellness visits, chronic disease management, and treatment for a wide range of adult health concerns. She believes in building lasting relationships with her patients and partnering with them to support their long-term health and well-being.

Prior to joining MUSC Health, Dr. Reams served as an outpatient internal medicine physician at Tryon Medical Partners in Charlotte, where she also held a leadership role as Medical Site Director for the Steele Creek practice. Her previous experience includes caring for patients at Mecklenburg Medical Group and serving as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist at MUSC.

Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Reams has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Business North Carolina and Charlotte Magazine. She is an active member of the American College of Physicians and remains committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care to every patient she serves.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Reams is actively involved in the community through her volunteer work with the Girl Scouts Hornets' Nest, where she has served as a troop leader and co-leader, reflecting her dedication to service both inside and outside of medicine.
