Alexis L. Lauria, MD, RPVI Vascular Surgery in Columbia, SC

Alexis L. Lauria, MD, RPVI, is a vascular surgeon at MUSC Health who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease using both open surgical and minimally invasive endovascular techniques. She previously served as a vascular surgeon at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, as a Major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Dr. Lauria completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, following her general surgery residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine as a recipient of the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program and received her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Wake Forest University, graduating cum laude. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Lauria serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where she contributes to surgical education and training. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters focused on vascular trauma, limb salvage, and innovative vascular reconstruction techniques. Dr. Lauria is a board-certified general surgeon and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American College of Surgeons.
