Dr. William Charles, MD, MBA is a board-certified medical oncologist with more than 20 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and lung cancers. He currently serves as the Director of Hematology and Oncology at MUSC Health, overseeing oncology services for the Lancaster and Indian Land Division.
Dr. Charles earned his medical degree in Internal Medicine and completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology. He is board certified in Oncology and holds an MBA from Wake Forest University, equipping him with a unique blend of clinical and administrative expertise in cancer care.
He has held a variety of leadership and attending roles at leading medical institutions, including Vice Director of the Oncology Division at Buena Ventura Medical Center in Ventura, California, and attending oncologist positions at Gaston Hematology \& Oncology and Novant Health Cancer Institute in North Carolina.
