Timothy Shaver, MD, is a dedicated and experienced primary care physician with a strong background in family medicine. He has been providing comprehensive outpatient care for over two decades, serving diverse patient populations.

Currently practicing at MUSC Health Primary Care-St. Matthews, Dr. Shaver believes that effective family medicine goes beyond treating illness, it involves listening carefully, fostering trust, and empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health. Dr. Shaver completed his residency in family medicine at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, and a noncategorical preliminary surgery internship at the University of Virginia Health System. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Science from the South Carolina Honors College.
