Dr. Steven C. Vranian, Jr. is a fellowship-trained, double board-certified anesthesiologist specializing in interventional pain management, with expertise in treating perioperative and chronic pain conditions. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Vranian earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University before completing medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He continued at MUSC for residency training in anesthesiology, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Duke University. Dr. Vranian's clinical practice emphasizes comprehensive, individualized patient care with a particular focus on non-narcotic, minimally invasive interventions. He is especially interested in advanced neuromodulation therapies designed to improve patients' quality of life and functional outcomes. His scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications and presentations at regional and national meetings, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence and evidence-based medicine. Dedicated to interdisciplinary collaboration and education, Dr. Vranian actively participates in training medical students, residents, and fellows, and he values the mentorship role inherent in academic medicine.
