Shawnequa L. Brown, M.D. OB/GYN in Orangeburg, SC

Shawnequa L. Brown, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over 15 years of experience providing compassionate, high-quality care to women across the Southeast. Her career has spanned hospitals, women's health centers, and community clinics, where she delivers comprehensive care across all stages of womens' lives.

Dr. Brown completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where she was awarded the James Campbell Medical Education Scholarship and the Thurston Medical Scholarship. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from South Carolina State University, where she was recognized with the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship and the Presidential Gold Medallion.

A member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Brown is committed to advancing women's health and reducing disparities in care. Her research, including a study comparing HPV infection rates across clinical settings, was presented at the 2006 Annual Resident Research Day.
