My professional journey has uniquely prepared me to serve as a healthcare provider. I earned my medical degree and completed physician training in Europe, followed by a PhD in Neuro-Cardiology from Aarhus University in Denmark. After immigrating to the United States, I pursued a career in nursing, earning a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and subsequently becoming a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC). This multidisciplinary path has enabled me to integrate a strong foundation in medical science and clinical reasoning with nursing's holistic, compassionate, and patient-centered philosophy of care. As I transition into my role as a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Cardiology at MUSC Health in Orangeburg, South Carolina, I recognize the importance of advanced specialty education in the rapidly evolving areas of cardiovascular diagnostics, pharmacologic management, and evidence-based treatment. Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to lifelong learning, research, and education. My long-term goal is to unite excellence in clinical practice with scholarship and teaching to advance cardiovascular care and improve patient outcomes. I am confident that my diverse clinical and academic background, dedication to continuous professional growth, and passion for cardiovascular medicine will enable me to contribute meaningfully to the health and well-being of patients in Orangeburg and the surrounding communities. At the same time, I look forward to further developing the specialized knowledge and expertise necessary to excel as a cardiology nurse practitioner.
