Robbe Hedstrom, MSE

Robbe Hedstrom brings over 20 years of athletic training experience to the Health \& Wellness Institute. His career spans the secondary school, college and military settings in addition to the United States Olympic \& Paralympic Committee (USOPC). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the College of Charleston as well as a Masters in Exercise Science from the University of South Carolina. Hedstrom's experience in the military setting includes the Army at Fort Jackson, working with primarily with basic combat training recruits, and the Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune where he was attached to the 2nd Combat Readiness Regiment \& an EOD Company. Driven by a desire to serve the athletes who represent our country, Robbe has also worked with the USPOC and United States Soccer Federation since 2013. The latter highlighted by selection to be the ATC for the US Women's Paralympic National Team at the 2022 World Cup. Hedstrom has also worked with South Carolina state high school associations to develop and implement heat-illness prevention and concussion return-to-learn policies. He also serves on the programming committee for the SC Athletic Trainers Association.
