Paul W. Watanakunakorn, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for adult patients. He earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (now NEOMED) and completed his residency in internal medicine at Summa Health System, where he later served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining MUSC Health, Dr. Watanakunakorn held a variety of leadership and academic positions, including residency program director, clinical assistant professor of internal medicine, and medical director. An accomplished physician educator, he has received multiple teaching awards in recognition of his commitment to mentoring future physicians.
