Nicholas Salem, D.O. Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine in Charleston, SC

Dr. Nick Salem is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, who joined the MUSC faculty as a Comprehensive Generalist. Originally, from the Washington, DC area, he received his bachelor's degree in psychology at Providence College, and then his master's degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. After spending several years in research at the National Institutes of Health, he completed medical school at Campbell University in North Carolina. Following medical school, he returned to the DC area and graduated from Medstar Georgetown University Hospital system in Anesthesiology. His interests include difficult airway management, point of care ultrasound, regional, obstetric and transplant anesthesia.
