Meghan Carter, AuD, CCC-A, is a cochlear implant audiologist at the Medical University of South Carolina. She graduated from Worcester State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and earned her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Carter completed a cochlear implant externship at the University of South Carolina prior to joining MUSC's cochlear implant team in 2022.

Dr. Carter specializes in the evaluation, programming, and long-term management of adult and pediatric cochlear implant recipients. Her clinical interests include cochlear implantation for individuals with single-sided deafness, asymmetric hearing loss, and congenital hearing loss, including patients with developmental differences and complex medical needs. Dr. Carter is committed to providing patient- and family-centered care and enjoys partnering with patients and their families to develop personalized hearing solutions that support their communication goals and overall quality of life.

Dr. Carter is licensed to practice audiology in the state of South Carolina and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
