Mahammad Salman Janjua, MD

Muhammad Salman Tahir Janjua, MBBS, is a board-certified anesthesiologist at MUSC Health with fellowship training in cardiac anesthesiology and critical care medicine. He provides anesthetic care for patients undergoing complex cardiac and high-acuity surgical procedures. Dr. Janjua completed fellowships in Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology and Critical Care Anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and earned his medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology with subspecialty certification in Critical Care Anesthesiology and holds advanced certification from the National Board of Echocardiography in Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. His clinical interests include cardiac anesthesia, perioperative and critical care echocardiography, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and perioperative patient safety. Dr. Janjua is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Cardiac Anesthesia, and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
