Dr. Luca Paoletti received his BA in biology from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from St. George's University. He completed internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut Medical Center, where he was selected to serve as chief resident. He completed sub-specialty training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he is currently an associate professor of medicine and is the Medical Director of the Adult ECMO program and the Medical Director of Pulmonary Rehabilitation. His teaching activities and patient care are focused in the area of pulmonary transplant medicine.
