Dr. Kevin Garven, MD, is a board certified family medicine physician who completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. With a passion for providing comprehensive, compassionate care across the lifespan, Dr. Garven is committed to building lasting relationships with his patients and addressing their health needs at every stage of life. His clinical interests include primary care, geriatrics, working with underserved populations, and performing basic procedures in the outpatient setting. Dr. Garven's journey into medicine was deeply influenced by his early experiences on multiple medical mission trips to Honduras. These transformative experiences inspired him to pursue a career in healthcare, initially becoming a Registered Nurse. He worked as an RN for eight years in Chicago, Illinois and at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Driven by a desire to expand his role in patient care and deepen his medical knowledge, he went on to earn his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. Throughout his career, Dr. Garven has remained dedicated to serving underserved populations, frequently volunteering his time and expertise in various community outreach programs and clinics. His commitment to health equity and service is a core part of his identity as a physician. Known for his approachable nature and patient-focused approach, Dr. Garven combines clinical skill with genuine empathy. He strives to empower patients through education and shared decision-making, helping them lead healthier, more informed lives. Whether in the clinic or the community, Dr. Garven is guided by a mission to make healthcare more accessible, personal, and impactful.
