Katherine Welsh, DNP, AGACNP-BC

Katherine is an ANCC board-certified nurse practitioner who joined MUSC Urology in 2026. She specializes in men's health within urology, with a focus on delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. Originally from Georgia, Katherine earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Emory University's Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. During her training, she successfully defended her dissertation on treatment outcomes for patients undergoing liver transplantation due to alcohol-associated liver disease and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in recognition of her academic excellence. Prior to her doctoral studies, Katherine completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Georgia and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina. Katherine is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the Society of Critical Care Medicine, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and high-quality patient care.
