Ricardo Lopez Castellanos, M.D. is a board-certified neurologist specializing in Movement Disorders and Autonomic Disorders (problems with automatic body functions). He has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of blood pressure drops (orthostatic hypotension) and other problems with automatic body functions (autonomic dysfunction) in Parkinson's disease, Multiple System Atrophy, Dementia with Lewy Bodies and Pure Autonomic Failure. Other areas of interest include autonomic function testing, autonomic neuropathy, drug-induced parkinsonism, dystonia, treatment with botulinum toxin injections, and other movement disorders.

He obtained his medical degree from Universidad Dr. José Matías Delgado in San Salvador, El Salvador, followed by a clinical research fellowship in Movement Disorders at the University of Cincinnati. He completed his Neurology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, serving as chief resident and earning a national leadership distinction from the American Academy of Neurology. After residency, he completed a Movement Disorders Fellowship at Emory University, followed by an Autonomic Disorders Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Lopez Castellanos is actively involved in patient education and outreach through organizations like the American Parkinson's Disease Association, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is committed to improving education and neurological care for diverse patient populations in the U.S. and Latin America.
