Dr. Jerome Kurent received his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati, and completed residencies in medicine and neurology at the John Hopkins Hospital. He completed a geriatric medicine fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health. He did fellowships in neuromuscular diseases and electromyography at the National Institute of Health.Dr. Kurent is a Soros faculty scholar of the Project on Death in America, and a Mayday Pain and Society fellow. He is a member of the MUSC Ethics Committee, South Carolina Medical Association Bioethics Committee and is vice chairman of the South Carolina Center for Gerontology.
