Dr. Jennifer Cashwell is a board-certified neurologist with a special interest in neuromuscular disorders. She graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia and earned her medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Virginia. She then completed her neurology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by additional fellowship training in neuromuscular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Cashwell provides up-to-date and comprehensive care for individuals with a wide range of conditions that affect the muscles, nerves, and the neuromuscular junction. These include inherited and inflammatory myopathies, peripheral neuropathies, myasthenia gravis, and motor neuron diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. She is also specially trained in electrodiagnostic testing (EMG) and neuromuscular ultrasound, which are valuable diagnostic tools that can help identify the cause of weakness or sensory symptoms. Committed to a patient-centered approach, Dr. Cashwell values education, collaboration, and empowerment in creating a plan of care that improves the overall health and wellbeing of her patients.
