Heather Kregel, M.D. Critical Care Surgery, Trauma Surgery in Charleston, SC

Dr. Kregel is a specialist in acute care surgery, providing expert, timely care for patients with a wide range of traumatic injuries, emergency surgical conditions, and critical illnesses. She is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. Through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, Dr. Kregel works to provide comprehensive surgical management and optimize outcomes for critically ill and injured patients. Dr. Kregel earned her medical degree from the University of Texas (UT) at Houston McGovern Medical School. She then completed her general surgery residency at Houston Methodist Hospital, during which time she returned to UT Houston for a Masters in Clinical Research and a T32 research fellowship. She then completed her acute care surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
