Cole Buchanan, M.D. Heart Failure & Transplant, Cardiology in Charleston, SC

Dr. Cole Buchanan is a cardiologist specializing in the care of patients with advanced heart failure, including those who have undergone cardiac transplantation and left ventricular assist device implantation. He completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina prior to internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado. After residency, he returned to Charleston to complete fellowships in cardiovascular disease and advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the Medical University of South Carolina. His clinical interests include cardiac critical care, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac transplantation. His academic interests include global health and medical education. Dr. Buchanan is passionate about providing high quality and compassionate care to patients in his home state of South Carolina.
