Christy Burnside Flores, NP-C Vascular Surgery in Columbia, SC

Christy Burnside Flores, NP-C, is a nurse practitioner with extensive experience in vascular, cardiothoracic and critical care. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping patients understand their treatment options throughout their care journey. Flores earned her Associate Degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Carolina-Aiken. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from the University of Southern Indiana. She joined MUSC Health in 2023 as a nurse practitioner with Vascular Surgery at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown. Previously, she practiced in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System and in family medicine at Limestone Family Medicine. Her nursing background includes extensive experience in post-anesthesia care, surgical intensive care, cardiac care and neurological intensive care. Flores is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and maintains ACLS and BLS certifications. She also serves as an Epic super user and has participated as a member of a physician technology committee.
