Chiamaka Jane-Pamela Okeke, M.D Pediatric Ophthalmology

Dr. Chiamaka Okeke is a pediatric ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical care of infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of eye conditions. Her clinical interests include strabismus, amblyopia, pediatric cataracts, refractive errors, obstructed nasolacrimal ducts, and other pediatric eye disorders. She is committed to providing compassionate, family-centered care using the latest evidence-based medical and surgical techniques to help children achieve their best possible vision. Dr. Okeke received her medical degree from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and completed her ophthalmology residency at the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Owerri, where she earned fellowship qualifications from both the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. She completed fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital in Bangladesh, followed by fellowships in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at Children's Mercy Kansas City and Neuro-Ophthalmology at Michigan State University. Dr. Okeke also earned a Master of Science in Health Research Methods with Merit from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. She has authored peer-reviewed publications, presented at national and international scientific meetings, and remains actively involved in clinical research to improve outcomes for children with eye diseases. Having cared for children across Africa, Asia, and the United States, Dr. Okeke is passionate about preventing childhood blindness through early detection, community outreach, school-based vision screening, and global eye health initiatives. She partners with families to deliver exceptional, personalized care while advancing pediatric ophthalmology through clinical excellence, education, and research.
