Notably, he participated in a medical mission trip to Nicaragua, where he provided essential care to over 200 individuals in underserved communities. His clinical experience encompasses a wide range of procedures. Chad's proficiency in emergency medicine was further developed during his tenure as a Medical Scribe/EMT at High Point Regional Emergency Department, where he assisted in critical procedures and documentation under the supervision of experienced practitioners. Chad gained specialized experience in gastroenterology while serving as an inpatient gastroenterology PA at CaroMont Regional in Gastonia. In this role, he played a crucial role in managing the inpatient service, coordinating endoscopic evaluations, and performing procedures such as placing PEG tubes. Prior to his career in health care, Chad served in the US Army and the North Carolina National Guard, earning several honors and awards for his exemplary service, including the Presidential Unit Citation and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. His military experience instilled in him a sense of discipline, leadership, and resilience that he brings to his work every day. Currently, Chad serves as a PA for MUSC Health Lancaster Medical Center Emergency Room, where he continues providing high-quality care to his patients. Previously, he worked at Carolina Interventional Pain Associates and Central Piedmont Urgent Care, gaining expertise in pain management and urgent care services. Chad is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), demonstrating his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care. He is also a member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants.
