Dr. Chau is a board-certified emergency physician with more than 15 years of experience working in the emergency department. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. After college, he served in the Peace Corps in the Solomon Islands where he worked with the indigenous community on various health issues. He attended medical school and residency in Connecticut at the University of Connecticut around the Hartford area. He worked in the community hospitals for several years in Connecticut prior to transitioning to South Carolina. Since moving in 2012, he worked at Tuomey Hospital providing quality emergency care to that population. Additionally, he mentored medical students, physician assistance students, and medical residents. He enjoys using ultrasound to facilitate care in the Emergency Department. He will be joining MUSC Lancaster and Chester to provide exceptional care in the emergency department.
