Ali Burnette is a dedicated healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing and a focus on heart transplantation. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to patient care, Ali has made significant contributions to the medical field. Ali's journey began at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she embarked on her nursing career. Her dedication and hard work earned her a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Magna Cum Laude Honors in 2008.

Upon completing her undergraduate education, Ali's passion for nursing led her to the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, where she began her professional journey as a Registered Nurse. She was recognized for outstanding patient care and received the Daisy Award for Nurses in April 2009.

In 2013, Ali pursued advanced education at MUSC, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Since 2011, Ali has been a crucial part of the Pediatric Heart Transplant Team, serving initially as a Heart Transplant Coordinator and now as Heart Transplant Nurse Practitioner since 2013. In this role, she has been instrumental in caring for these patients throughout their transplant journey.
